(EP12) Mental Fitness: Tips and Resources

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health – and they’re interconnected! This week, Doug and Suzanne dive deep into what creates a healthy mindset and how to set yourself up right for personal growth and development.

In this episode, they cover:

    • Making a conscious effort: contrary to popular belief, getting older doesn’t always mean getting wiser. You have to make an effort to continue to learn, and Doug and Suzanne give you many of their favorite resources to do so — check out the links below!
    • Diluting vs Erasing: the negativity that we consume in our daily lives cannot be erased, but can be diluted by also seeking out positive outlets to balance out what you’re taking in.
    • And more!

This week’s segments:

Here’s the Scoop: What you consume consumes you! Whether it’s food, exercise, or your mental health, what you put in is what you get out. That’s why a routine complete with whole foods, reasonable exercise, and staying in touch with your mental health journey is imperative for a well-rounded, healthy body.

Little Known Fats: No matter how much we tell ourselves negativity doesn’t affect us, it does. There’s nothing we can do to prevent that from getting into our systems and affecting the way we think, but there are ways to make sure you maintain a healthy frame of mind despite the amount of negativity you’re bombarded with on a daily basis.
